Bear with me....
I don’t have a TV licence at home as I genuinely, truly don’t watch TV. I don’t own one, nor watch Catch up, but do occasionally watch a YouTube documentary, and I admit that I like listening to a bit of radio 4.
However, I sm now in ICU, in a sideroom so totally isolated apart from my nurse. I’m pretty poorly so can’t do most of the things that I usually do, and also often awake at odd times because of meds, machines bleeping etc.
I read somewhere that tonight was the first episode of the new series of The Apprentice, so thought I would try on the iPlayer website. However, you now need to sign in! I can’t say I have a TV licence, as I don’t, but surely hospitals are covered y some sort of institutional thing?! Plus I am two hours away from my home anyway.
Can I log in and bravely say that I have no tv licence, or will that be opening a whole can of worms? I have been very honest about writing to declare and accepting any possible inspections etc. Similarly, what happens I say that I do, assuming the hosptial does? I will be on their wifi....
