Ok we've been invited to a get together at the weekend from a friend of DH's. They live overseas and have done for 12 plus years). So we are friends on FB but haven't seen them for a good couple of years and didn't know them well beforehand but they would like to see us as they're visiting a family member in our home town. They have invited us via FB message to a meet up/joint birthday party at someone else's house (we're not even sure whose house it is but it isn't a massive house as we know the area) and obviously our DC. The birthday party is to celebrate 3 x children's birthdays. They've put the names and ages of the children on which varies from 5-12 one of which is there child (we have met them twice) and the other two children we don't even know.
We don't go out much and I quite like his wife so would like to go as it's nice for the kids to meet people from other countries and we all enjoyed it last time we saw them. But DH can't really be bothered.
I was obviously going to take a bottle of wine, some soft drink and ask them if they wanted us to bring some food of some sort.
But should we bring gifts for all the kids or just the one we know as they have put the ages of all the kids on the invite and if so any ideas of what to buy or just cards for them all and some sweets?
Thanks
