writing in dirt on van

I followed a van today that had been written in the dirt on it something very offensive and inappropriate regarding jimmy Saville and rolf harris, am tempted to contact the company and complain? am I being silly?

Tbh it probably wasn't the driver who wrote it. Probably someone did it while he/she was parked and didn't notice.

It was probably a random passerby. What would be the point of calling the company? Especially to "complain" - about what - that they don't wash their vans daily?

Complain, while imagining the person on the other end of the line rolling their eyes and spinning their fingers around their ears to other people in the office because that's exactly what they'll be doing.

Why would you complain? Random people write in van dirt all the time, the driver probably hasn't noticed. I'm sure he will and will rub it off, no big deal.

I can't imagine that it was the driver that thought "I know, I'll write some immature shite on my van today and see how many people complain about me!"

As pps said it is very unlikely to be the driver and unless he inspects his van before he gets in it I doubt he is even aware it is there.

It won't have been the driver who wrote it. You'll be complaining that random kids wrote on the van.

It probably wasn't anyone from the company, so calling isn't neccessary.

The company will have cleaned their van once they noticed or hit it back to base.

I suppose you could have helpfully informed them, rather than complain. But you will be very busy if you take up the case over every van that is written on.
