I wish to contact certain local businesses and schools with a view to finding some part time work and I'm after some ideas re the wording of the letter to accompany my CV.

Any tips, hints, rules or suggestions gratefully received.
TIA

Make sure you tailor each letter to that particular organisation - obviously change names etc but also tweak other specifics so you appear interested in that particular industry and company, rather than it being too generic.

Keep the letter fairly short - brief explanation of who you are/your relevant skills/experience, and why you want to work for them. Def don't go over a page (3 fairly short paragraphs are probably enough). Your CV will pad out your background so you don't need loads of detail in your letter, just the headlines.

Hope this helps. Good luck!
