Do i pay or not

My daughter attends a local dance school. We have to give a terms notice to stop classes, so to finish in september i would have had to give notice at the beginning of june.
I have just been notified that some of the classes she was doing before the summer have been moved to either a different day or to an unsuitable time for her age and she can therefore no longer attend.
I am happy to pay for the ones she can attend and that have not been moved, do i have to pay for the ones that the dance school have moved without providing me opportunity to give appropriate notice?
I have already given notice for this term to leave anyway.
TIA

I wouldn't pay for the ones she can't attend - the dance school have changed their side of the bargain.

They have changed the term not you

their changes have caused your daughter to not be able to attend, you haven't chosen to withdraw her at short notice. so no i'd say no way should you have to pay for the ones she now cannot go to.

Thanks ladies. I have paid for the ones that are on the times and days i chose her to attend. I have refused to pay the new renamed and rescheduled classes. I like the way she has actually changed the day of one and added a class!!!
We shall se what happens.

I think you are in the right here.

I'm a dance teacher and I think you are 100% right. The teacher is well within her rights to change the class schedule at the start of the new school year to suit herself, but if you are unable to make the new class times then you should not be held accountable for the notice period on those classes. (I don't require a notice period to leave my school, just ask that parents pay all fees up to date before leaving and have the courtesy to tell me that their child will no longer be attending). I think you have done completely the right thing paying only for the classes that your child will be able to attend this term.
