So a family member (same age as me) got kicked out from his family home I believe at the beginning of the year and since then has been staying with other family, got his own room etc, I haven't seen him in maybe 3 years and we were very close when we were younger. He got into drug dealing although I'm not sure if that's still the case, anyway I rent with my oh and we have a baby due in November. He has asked if he could stay on the couch for a few nights (he hasn't explained why) but I'm a bit wary, me and my oh both work full time, don't have much money ourselves at the moment as we're trying to budget. I don't know whether it's just the night time or whether he expects to be here all day and paying for his food etc. What would you do? I don't want to be shitty and tell him he can't without a good excuse but I also don't really want him staying, anyone been in a similar situation?

Just say no. If he asks why, say you're not able to discuss it, its personal.
A drug dealer is not someone I'd have round for a cup of tea let alone to stay in my house. You don't owe him anything

Family or not drugs add a different spin on helping out imo.
Just say no seems quite appropriate (Zammo!)

Thank you! I just don't feel comfortable especially with a baby on the way!

I wouldn't have a drug dealer to stay.

He'll either ask for money, steal from you or both.

Say no that it is not possible. With drug dealing you do not know who could be calling to him.
