Not really a wwyd or a aibu but definitely needed rant so apologises! Basically ive been out of work 15 months and it is getting me really down atm. I am fully qualified but can't get a job in that role anywhere! I have even gotten to the point of applying for jobs now that I don't have qualifications for on the hope I can impress them at interview stage.. however this isn't working either now!! & I've been to alot! Of interviews. I was going to go back to college part time in the evenings (as I have 2 DC) to do something completely different in hope that it would lead to more job opportunities, but unfortunately I won't be able to do that now either due to finances.
Literally feeling like $hit.! And so fed up with it all as all I want is a Job!

Can you approach companies on spec? I have my present job because I contacted a company I was interested in working for.

Yes I've done this and my mum and dh both got me interviews at their company but the post was given to someone else who then left after 3 days!!
I'm also registered with 5 different recruitment agencies and have just finished sending off CVs via email to another 5 jobs..

I would first have a look at your CV, maybe get someone who's good at these things to have a read over it - see if thats playing a factor

Also since you've had interviews, have you asked for feedback? If not, ask, see what they say and see what you can improve on.

is it a very in demand area?
