Is cool still cool?

Do kids (aged about 7) still talk about things as being cool?

Mine do it because they've learnt it from me!

My 7 year old does it and even the almost 2 year old

Why?

It's not exactly uncool to use the term cool, but the more cool phrase to use now is lit;
e.g "those trainers are lit" or "your hair is lit"

And on a side note, I think 'cool' and 'lit' have both just lost meaning to me with the amount of times I've just written them both down

Sorry just asking because of a work thing where I've been asked to talk
about a toy as cool, and I thought cool was was long gone - but obviously not. Thanks all - and thanks for teaching me a new word ('lit') :)
