How would you start a discussion on money?

Quite simply, me and a good friend missed our flight home from holiday. The only flights available were 1seat each on diff airlines, with very diff costs. Hers was €100, mine was €400. Same trip. For her that seems to be the end of the story but I feel she should give me some money towards my fare. I don't know how to raise this, but I know if I leave it I will feel resentful which I don't want. She is an important friend to me. I would really appreciate any ideas on how to deal with this x

Tough one. Why did you miss your flight? Was it one yours fault? Did you look for flights home together or separetly? Home come she got the cheaper one and you didn't? All of that matters.

Hiya, It was equally our faults and since I posted this I have taken the bull by the horns and we have now started discussing it. Thanks for replying though.
