My Brother in law has today sent me a message regarding him having a ham shank (rhymes with what I really mean) totally freaked me out but sent him a message back saying okayyyyyyy that is too weird! He's always been a bit inappropriate towards me, slapping my arse etc but my Sister doesn't seem to care or find it completely unacceptable. I warned him the last time he was touchy feely with me that I would chop his balls off if he touched me again but he seems to think its all highly amusing. I do not and am ready to kick it all off, how should I approach this please Ladies?

You're being too jokey about this. Even threatening to chop his balls off is jokey.

Your message back to him should have been...'message me something like that again and I will report you to the police for harrassment. Same goes for touching me inappropriately or slapping my bottom. None of this is ok with me. You should be ashamed of yourself'

If he doesn't back off you need to have a serious conversation with your sister saying she may be fine with it but you are not. If he doesn't stop you will report him for sexual harrassment.

I agree - you are trying to make light of it, which is an understandable reaction as we are socialised to see it as our job to keep the peace and 'not make a fuss'. But what you need to do is make a fuss.

I would forward a screenshot of the message to your sister and tell her you have blocked her repulsive partner from your phone. Any further communication from him of this kind will be reported to the police.

How practical is it for you to avoid any further physical contact with him?
