Take a step back?

Would you take a step back in your life?

Four years ago I took a job that said 'temporary with the possibility of leading to permanenthe but at the end of the elected period I was let go. Honestly I am very low in confidence and self esteem so I thought I had done something wrong. However they didn't readvertise so I may be wrong.

Now though they are advertising for staff in the same role I was let go from. There has also been a change in management.

This job is in perfect location to my DC school and their school times meaning we would leave more-or-less together and meethical up to get home at a reasonable time.

Half of me wants to apply as it's so perfect but the other half is saying it's a step back and is fearful that I was let go for a reason (although management has changed). WWYD?

There is only one way to find out and that is to apply. Include a cover letter outlining the role you filled previously and your tasks and why you think you would be great for the role

It's a 12 page application forms and they don't accept covering letters - education role.

I wouldn't see this as a step backwards at all. I would fill in the application and if you get a call from the interviewer you can chat about being there before then.

It's been four years - has your self esteem and confidence got any better? Are you working on your self esteem at all?

It's still quite low but I've recently gone back onto AD and done a course of CBT which is making a lot of difference toyou thinking and motivation.
