So this country's weather is shit, we are meant to be going camping in wales with our 1yr old tomorrow, The forecast is frankly bloody awful, cold wind and raining every day we're there! We have been really looking forward to it, booked the week off work, got everything sorted and dh has just said he doesn't think it's worth going as it will be awful in a tent soaking wet with the baby.( tent is a big one you can stand up in) So my question is, what would you do? Go and make the best of it or cut your losses and stay home?

Feel your pain. We can only afford to camp in this country as tied to school holidays and every time I've booked something, looked forward to it, it has pissed down with rain. Fed up with it now. Weve been and just stayed in (take our dog as well so limited with where we can go for day trips).

Watching to see what others suggest!

I've been camping (in a trailer tent) in this kind of weather, twice in fact.

It wasn't that bad, although we were supposed to be going for two weeks and only managed ten days. You do get to a point where nothing will dry out (i.e towels etc) and even stuff that's never been wet in the first place has an aura of dampness about it.

I suppose it depends how much you need a holiday. I like getting away even when the weather is shit. Having said that, we haven't been camping for the last two years.
