I work part time for a large family owned business: great employers and I love my job.
At the start of the summer the big boss asked me if I would take on a new role. He flattered me what a good job I'd done in my current role and how Mr A really needed some extra help and they thought I'd be excellent at it.
Flattered and feeling a little like I didn't have any choice, I accepted and have been doing the new role for about 4 weeks.
I realise that I've made a mistake. Most of the reasons that I loved loved loved my job are now missing. Can I ask for my old job back?
