Literal shit the bed

I'm fresh out of hand surgery (yesterday)... I'm supposed to be resting as it was on my dominant hand so cannot do basic things with said hand (I.e brush my teeth, write a sentence, tie laces etc)

Well... my DD has come home from her dads today as I thought I'd manage on my own despite the circumstances with my hand.

Dad and me are very good friends despite splitting a few years back, so help each other out when necessary.

But my darling 4 year old has only done something horrific..

She's only shit the bed in her sleep.

#1 rule my surgeon gave me was DO NOT GET YOUR HAND WET... under any circumstances.

I've done my best to get as much poop off her in her sleep. But it's everywhere... I've had to phone in her dad to come and help me out as I'm completely useless, I don't even have any gloves to use!

If I don't laugh, I will cry.

What would you do in my situation?
Any awkward situations your child(ren) have put you in???

Ah your poor little girl hasn't done something horrific deliberately. She was probably worried about you having to have an operation. Couldn't she stay with her dad for a couple more days so you can rest your hand. Now that she knows mummy is ok, she will probably be fine.

tinty I know it wasn't deliberate, it was an accident!
It was so mortifying at the time but is hilarious now, the morning after.
She's gone back tonight as it's usual arrangement, but she was so worried about me this morning! She's so careful around my hand but stitches will be out early next week so will be back to normal then Grin
