Should I be offended...?

Not sure if I'm popping this in the right spot, sorry if not!

A few weeks ago at a baby group a mum announced that British mothers have a bad reputation and don't dress their children appropriate to the weather...as the only Brit mum there that day i felt really singled out, stared blanky for a moment then carried on occupying dd.

Then really recently another mum informed me she had some advise for me if I wanted it on how to loose "all that baby weight" again I was flabbergasted to be honest and just sort of smiled jking that it's not baby weight I've always been a bit chubby Grin.

There's been a couple other what I think are mean spirited comments too, should I be offended? Or is this just what comes with the territory of baby groups? Or am I being over sensitive?

The thing with baby groups is that you have nothing in common other than having babies, so you're always going to get a few weirdos/rude people/boring people.

Keep trying groups till you find one you like.

But yes I think both those comments are rude.

Which country are you in? And did the woman with the advice on weight look perfect herself?

relaxmax there's no other English speaking group I know of :/ so I'm a little stuck...might just be a recluse until we move.
I'm living in Italy and yes she was gorgeous.
