What's your experiences of timing between first and second dates? Sorry in advance if this is the wrong place. Struggling to trust so after 3 years working on myself I meet someone who seems pretty normal but has a punishing work schedule. Works 6-6 then midnight - 12 8-8 and so on. After a super first date he wanted to see me again but so far hasn't made an effort to do so. We're still in touch albeit I make more first contact than he does. I was always of the belief that men pursue what they want but am open to that being incorrect for some. Don't know what to think. Help x

I think about once per week is usual in the early stages but I have found that the keen one's get the next date lined up pretty soon after the previous one. It's such a minefield though and I am currently trying to not over think a guys actions too much. But it's a fine line between giving someone time/space and accepting a low level of interest!

Date was 9 days ago lol. I said When I'm free he says he'll let me know. I'm still in the 'holding back the psycho' stage which is pretty common amongst us ladies I'm finding. It's a fine line between telling him to forget it and staying calm and seeing what happens. I'm so impatient haha. I'm very scared of getting fooled if you know what I mean. If he says he doesn't fancy me or doesn't take it any further that would be fine but my last relationship was full of so many lies I am always on my guard. He seems to chat in detail rather than say just exchanging pleasantries if you know what I mean. And when we first got talking it was ages before he asked me out, in fact I edged that along as well. I've not text today and neither has he so I honestly don't know what to think

Yes he seems to message me if I don't message him so I'm so confused. X

Yeah that's a good way of putting it. I also have a small daughter so I need notice anyway. So I could probably say how do you see this week panning out because if you want to see me I'll need notice.
Or something along those lines
