to get loads of little spiders of a spinning washing line?

This might be the wrong place to ask such a question but we've got a really irritating problem of literally hundreds of little spiders making a home in our washing line.

Is there anything we can do to move them on?

Use a duster/broom to collect the spiders and webs, and then shake it over a bush etc. They will more than likely return though. DH does a spider clean up weekly, and within a few days our back garden/fence/gate look like they've been abandoned. If you come up with any long term solutions I'd love to steal them .
