DS is having a birthday party on the 16th September.

He is currently in nursery, attached to the primary that he will be attending in September. Small village school. There is only one child starting in September who currently isn't in nursery.

His school start will be phased over four weeks Hmm

Would you give out the invites at the end of this term, or at the start of next term? Moving the party is not an option for various reasons. I can't work out what would be best. If I give them out before the summer holidays it's a long way in advance, but if I wait till September it will be very close to the party.

Can you do a save the date type thing? Then a proper invite in September.

End of this term. People have phone calendars etc - no reason why they should forget. And the more notice the better.

Thanks. I am probably over thinking it but this is the first party I have done for him and he's my PFB. Grin

Yes, end of this term. I'd say you realise it's a long time away so you'll text a reminder a couple of weeks before if they want. I started to do this after having approx 3 no shows every year. Parents genuinely just forgot and then were very apologetic when they realised.
