WWYD If you felt betrayed by a colleague

Actually I need a bit of a hug and a bit of a "put on her big girl pants" advice. My colleague (there are just two of us working very closely on this part of a bigger project) works part time, does very little work whilst she is here and managed to swing a very nice secondment. Whilst I am vaguely annoyed about that what has really hurt me is that I had to hear the news fourth hand - neither management or herself told me about it. Given that folks have bigger issues I realise that this is a storm in a teacup but I still feel very betrayed and hurt by this. So WWYD (murder and sulking not being suitable options Smile

I would keep my fingers crossed that the secondment will highlight how little work she actually does. Maybe casually mention that your project is actually progressing more smoothly while she is gone.
