Before we went on holiday my MIL was looking after my DS whilst I was at school (as a teacher not a student). She fell ill and my FIL called me to say I had to come get my DS. I didn't get the message till this morning when I went through my voice mail! This was Tuesday last week he called me 😬
He managed to look after my DS by himself and even changed a couple of nappies. My DH picked him up at 3 before I finished school anyway so it wasn't a super late pick up. In all honesty he called my mobile that I can't answer at work till breaks and I always check it. No physical call came through so it must have gone straight to voicemail which is why I didn't see it. He could have called the school office and they would have come to get me but he didn't. DH said he was fine (our DS is super well behaved especially for his grandparents) and just panicked. He also said if it was a real emergency his dad would have called him too but he didn't.
So what I want to do is get him a little sorry present. Not anything massive but he doesn't need anything 😆 he likes going for a drink on a Sunday and likes looking after his garden. Any ideas? Could be funny ideas too but I'm not good at them and I feel guilty.
