Should you send save the date cards out to guests who are going to be invited to the evening only part of the wedding day? Thanks!

I wouldn't, and tbh I'd be a bit pissed off if I saved the date (possibly booking time off work etc) to then only get an evening invite.

STDs only for the subgroup of those invited to the whole thing, whose absence you'd really notice and regret.

Arguably, that makes the extra stationery redundant, as they are often the people you'd be talking to, emailing or writing to anyhow and you can just mention it then.
