New Blog - Places to Advertise?

I am planning on spending a few thousand on marketing to launch my new blog. This includes a few giveaways, branding with influencers and actual ads on websites.

I've spoken with magazines like Babylondon and Absolutely Mama, both of which offer MPU ad space on their sites. Does anyone else know online resources that have a demographic of young, British mothers?

Why do you need such a huge advertising? You you going to do selling website? Otherwise it's just wasted money... You should do a blog with good quality content first. And then ask family magazines whether they need guest blogger (you'll write what they need in exchange to indexed link). Some will definitely agree because they need content. Some might even put it in printed magazine... But it all will be based on the quality of your content (on your site). Another thing - start commenting other blogs. Chose those with active readers and where there are discussions. If you don't have time for this, hire some student/mum-who-looks-for-small-work to do it for you. Spend some money for that. And do active social media accounts for your blog. And only after all these is done you could start thinking about paid advertisement. Well, it's different with selling websites...
