DD (12) has been into chemistry and biology for quite a while but in a hands off 'watch and read about' way but she's just starting to get interested in doing more hands on stuff and really wants a microscope for her birthday, a usb one so she can look at things on the laptop screen and do screen captures. Trouble is I've no idea what kind or where to get one from (I'm a literary nerd not a science one so clueless here).
DD was looking at cheap ones on Amazon but we borrowed one from a friend and the resolution wasn't good at all, especially at 350x and DD was quite disappointed so I'd like to get her a good quality one but preferably no more than £80-£100 if possible - can you get a good one for that budget, or a second hand one?
