Anyone know what these toy figurines are?

Hello,
I picked up these little creatures from a charity shop for eldest boy and an convinced there's a reason for the curve in their backs: to stack them or flip them or something. I told the boy and of corse he now MUST know. Does anyone know what they're called/ why they have the curve?

Thank you!

Rachel

You use the curve for your finger when you flick them I think. I have millions of them on my classroom for counting, sorting, wet playtime emergencies etc.

Oh god am I glad those days are over. We must have had a million of those fuckers.

Gogos! We've got hundreds of them, collected about 8 years ago, they were banned from DS's school. They have provided many, many hours of entertainment so all good (unless you tread on one).
