Soooooo. I am divorced and heartbroken. What else is new. Well, divorced, heartbroken, a single mom and living in Scandinavia. Right??? And whose fault is that? Hmmm. No one’s really. Well, to be honest mostly mine for sort of egging my then husband to return to Europe rather than move to the US. Sooooo, my fault-ish. But yes. Divorced in Scandinavia when all my roots stem, branch, grow and are anchored in North America (Caribbean to be exact and partly the US). So how the heck do I move forward without constantly hitting the brick wall of ‘loneliness, Caribbean warmth (both the people and the place), and ache/need/desire for familiarity?’ I have no clue. Trying to keep it together when all I want to do is shrivel in a limp heap under the covers and never come out
