I'm aware im not really posting in the rigjt place but not sure where to post. I keep finding these little insects on all my windows. Not just one but about 5/6 at a time. I am constantly polishing/disinfecting so i have no idea what they are or where they are coming from. I found one on the carpet the other day and with a 7 month old crawling around i want then gone asap. Thank you!!

Looked up a picture on Google and came up with this:

Think it may be a carpet beetle?

lemondriftwood · 06/04/2017 14:19

Yeah it's a carpet beetle.

Definitely a carpet beetle, get spray, keep all clothing off the floor and vacuum lots

Thanks everyone! Just looked at that link and it mentions birds nests and we live right next to some trees that practically touch our windows so it makes sense!

I know they aren't very nice OP but rest assured they are harmless!

theaveragewife · 07/04/2017 11:55

They are harmless but if you get any of the hairs from the larvae near your skin it will really irritate and can cause big itchy spots and lumps!
