Unreasonable football coach!

Hi there , so my ds 9 has played for 3yrs with the same team and same coach, coach can be pretty harsh on the boys if they don't play well, he has said a few things to my ds and today has said he dosent want him in the club if he dosent play better! Ds understandably upset! I wasn't there tho, but do know coach can be pretty stern! Wwyd? Part of me wants to stop him playing as not good for his confidence! but he loves the team as been with them a while now!

I'd listen to the way the coaches of other teams talk to their players, and then go and talk to one of them about the possibility of your ds joining that team instead.
At 9 yrs old everybody who wants to should be able to play football. It ought to be about enjoyment and encouragement.
