Just gone out to get the washing in before it goes dark and it's lying on the grass by the flower bed. It's dead! I hate it with a passion and now it's dead in my garden. Don't really get on with said neighbour as we've had issues with said cat pissing up my front door, shitting in flower beds and now it's dead. In my garden. I'm just about to put kids in bath. Husband not home till after 8. What do I do?

Oh i would be so angry. You could of left the cat by the roadside and not forked over £85 so the poor thing could be kept until they collected and they cant even say thank you or offer to reimburse you!

Serialweightwatcher · 28/03/2017 10:02

Ungrateful gits - you did such a kind thing where some people would have chucked the poor animal in the bin. Sound like nothings to me - you were very kind - they are tossers Flowers

picklemepopcorn · 28/03/2017 16:28

That's really disappointing. I'm sorry that happened like that.

EsmesBees · 28/03/2017 17:16

What horrible, ungrateful people. Are you going to say something to them?

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 28/03/2017 21:45

I would assume that they think you are in some way responsible for the demise of their cat, given that they know you didn't like it. I'm not surprised they're not talking to you. Look at it as a silver lining, you don't have to talk to them anymore either.

Quite upsetting to see some of the responses on this thread, animal lovers or not, that was a life at the end of the day. Glad you did the right thing OP...

greenlipstick · 29/03/2017 21:44

You did the right thing. Councils don't always bother to scan them

Sooooo I came home this morning to a gorgeous bunch of flowers on the doorstep.............................From the vets!!!!!!! I kid you not!

Had my friend with me who took her dog to that same vet when knocked over and apparently it's what they do when an animal dies. It's so lovely but it was obviously meant for the owner. However, I've rang the vet and explained what happened and enquired had they incurred any cost i.e. Offered to reimburse my fees and they said no. So I'm keeping the flowers. I told the vet I was and they agreed that given the situation I'd been in I deserved them. They look lovely on my window sill!

The owners owe you that £85!!
That's really nice that you got some lovely flowers.
It might be that your neighbours haven't considered the trouble it was for you- from their point of view, their cat died and you got the vet to take care of things. They haven't imagined the time it took from your own day. If they had been able to see you deal with it they would probably have more of a thank you to say! Unless they're just dicks.

whoahokeycokey · 30/03/2017 15:48

Thanks Lor but I now just think they're dicks!! In all fairness I'd do the same again if I ever found another animal but I won't be parting with £££ again that's for sure!!!
