How to get him to notice me

Come on throw your ideas at me.. How do you get that person you want to notice you.
How do you stand out. How do you show interest without coming across creepy and stalkerish
I dont want to ask this person out i want to get to know them better, but how.. We are at the pleasantries stage really. Dont really know how to cross the boundary to getting to know eachother from merely just saying hello and small talk... Help?!

Extend the conversation find out their interests through chat and mention events that youre going to..
Add them on facebook?

I was always crap at this. I'd find out which pub they went to, have a few for courage and then wobble up to them and tell them offensive jokes.

How do you know them? At work, you could ask for help or their opinion on a work thing. At the gym, you could ask something gym related etc
