Buy another toy?

OK ds (4 years old) has asked for a toy for Xmas. My mum asked me a few months ago what he wanted and I told her this toy (thinking Xmas is ages away we can find other things). Anyway it's all sorted but we went to see santa yesterday and he said he only wanted this toy I am a bit worried as he does have it but won't get it until boxing day.
Last year he was upset he didn't get a ball he wanted (he did it was just from another person). As it's the only toy he really wants should I buy another in a different colour?, ask my mum for it for Xmas day? or leave it and hope he won't be upset again or am I making too much of this?

Ask your mum if he could open it on Christmas Day. Maybe trade her one of his other presents so he still has something to open at hers?

See I thought that but wasn't sure if it was too cheeky.

Santa knows everything. So he won't duplicate a present he knows you are getting. But e does try to get you something you'd love???

I'm sure if you explained to your mum that it's the only thing he wants from Santa, she'll understand..?

I'd ask your mum if Santa can give him what she's bought and you can buy something else for her to give him.
If she's his granny surely she will want him to be happy and will happily change her present.
