College colleague with body odour

Hey everyone, I am currently training to be a chef at college, and our group are currently working through our front of house training. I have a classmate who has very strong body odour. It is a very stale smell, and I know customers in our student restaurant are acknowledging it too. He has been sent home while working in the kitchen before due to poor hygiene. What do you think?

Sorry, I didn't ask an actual question in my OP. But yeah, should I do something? IS there something I can do?

If customers have complained, could you not raise the issue with your manager? Pass on the comments?

Be kind. Ask if they have any problems at home, are they okay health wise, are they depressed etc. Do they have electricity/gas hot water - basically rule out or establish reasons for the B.O. & then kindly be honest with them & offer help if appropriate & ask others to help too
