Master bedroom facing the front or back?

Hi there

I've just moved into a 2 bedroom house on a small quiet close, the bedrooms are very similar in size and shape with only a slight difference in measurements between them.

The front bedroom faces the close which consists of other houses and driveways, and the back faces the garden and in the very far distance you can see the main road.

Both bedrooms are double and quite small, but both have built in wardrobes as well as space for own wardrobes.

Also the back bedroom is slightly different in that it has a recess to the side of the wall, which could fit in a dressing table or big vase....(I don't plan on putting a dressing table there, just trying to give you an idea)

I personally like the idea of the privacy of the back bedroom, but not sure if the slight difference in size should lure me to the front.

What would you choose?

Thank you all in advance

Back. Nice to have a view, it is more private and will be a bit quieter.

If the second bedroom is not used, you can always keep some of your clothes in there so that you are not overcrowding your own bedroom.

We keep very little in our own bedroom and have a spare room with big wardrobes where most of our clothes live. It works fine for us.

I'd say the front, but then again I've always had my bedroom at the front, and couldn't imagine it not being there.
But if you feel you'd prefer the back then go for it.

For the main bedroom, I'd say go for the larger room. How much time do you spend looking out of the window?

@kel and Jelly thank you for your comment...

Who's in the front ? How noisy is it? If it's kids then is the back quieter at night ?

Deciding factor to me would be where the sun rises. I HATE having a bedroom whindow which faces the sunrise, it turns me into a vampire every morning! Go for the more westerly facing one!
