Should I cancel DS's party on Sunday?

My nearly 4 year old DS started a sickness bug this afternoon at preschool and has been vomiting every ten mins since. Just had first diarrhoea episode...have a feeling it's going to be a very long night..

He has his birthday party on Sunday afternoon with about 18 kids.

Obviously at the moment, there's a strong chance I could get whatever he has but if not, do you think I should still be cancelling the party 3 days out or could hold on for another day or so? He would be so upset not to have his party - it's his first proper one.

Can I just wait and see how he is (and me) tomorrow before making a decision?

It is Wednesday today...So at this point I would not cancel..Kids can be very poorly then bounce back.. Make sure you keep washing anti bac everything ..you may get lucky and not catch it

You only need 48 hours since last symptoms so he's got a bit of time to settle yet. Bless him.

Ahh fingers crossed, my dd was sick the other week and miraculously none of us caught it. Leave it for now, call it on Friday.

Definitely don't cancel...as long as your ds is clear by fri morn you'll be fine. And hopefully you won't catch it - if you're really strict with hand washing etc hopefully you'll manage to miss it. I once managed to dodge norovirus even though ds and dh both had it. It was messy Sad

Thanks so much for the responses.

I'm going with a 3pm cut off on Friday as that's 48 hours before. Just hope I don't get it as well!

I'm washing hands like mad and using a sanitiser. Fingers crossed!
