Chicken pox vaccine (ds 11)

Ds still hasn't caught chicken pox, it's been round school every year, saw cousins before they came out in spots. The paediatrician he sees did a blood test last year and he definitely isn't immune. Ds has just gone into year 7 and has some other medical issues so I am thinking of getting him the vaccine as having to cope with that on top of other problems would be tough, also has to have a lot of time off as it is. I don't have many people to talk it through with so wondering what others would do? Thank you!

Do it. It's two lots of jabs. Job done.

DD has had the vaccinations and she didn't have any reaction at all. There is a tiny risk of giving someone chickenpox but it is small and the likelihood is that most of his classmates have already had it, but do be aware of you have anyone with a compromised immune system in your family.
