Hi girls and boys! I'm relatively new to this, so I just cannot get the hang of the abbreviations used! I stare confusingly at my phone trying to work out what's being said! Could you help me please?!

Seriously, people will take exception to you calling them boys and girls. It was a genuine piece of advice to someone who says they want to get the hang of the site. There's no need to be snarky.
