Vegetarian and EBF

My son is 10 weeks old and I've just switched to a vegetarian diet.

I'd be really interested to know of any foods that are a do/don't whilst BF and any recommendations/suggestions/advice from other vegetarian mothers.

I've noticed that his dirty nappies smell a lot stronger since my veg uptake has increased.

Thanks!

I was vegetarian from long before having both my DCs, and they were EBF. I didn't notice them having any particular reaction to anything I ate, but heard from other (non-vegetarian) friends with colicky babies that they did better if the mothers avoided strong spices, lots of garlic/onions, and sometimes cruciferous vegetables (cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage etc).

Really I think it is probably a case of trial and error to see if he reacts to anything, but being vegetarian and/or eating lots of vegetables is not a reason to expect any BF problems.
