Friend of friend being a victim of dv

So my friend has told me, I'm not that close to the victim. I feel quite strongly.

Should I chat more to friend of friend. At the moment I avoid them both..

Unless friend of friend tells you herself, I think it will backfire if you try to talk to her about it. And she will probably be annoyed mutual friend has told you.
