I called my husband a prick because of his selfishness (it is limitless and my patience is wafer thin) and he retaliated by calling me a cunt. I whacked him over the head with some headphones I was holding and a scuffle ensued. I detest being called a cunt, I think it's the vilest insult but he doesn't seem to think there's anything wrong with it. He says if I can call him a prick then it's just the same type of insult. Is it?

You called him a name, he called you one, then you assaulted him and a 'scuffle' ensued?

I think the pair of you need to get the hell away from each other and grow up.

No difference between what you called each other.
You started the name calling and then physically assaulted him.
