bullied at pgce

Hi all,
I love teaching and have been bullied at PGCE. My college would not move me, so I left. I did not want my son to see me struggling so much. I had no cause for concern, a perfect record and still want to teach.

I was in a high achieving selective school, do you think the same will happen anywhere?

Thanks

I can't understand your post.

Is it possible to restart/continue your PGCE? Can you bring a complaint against the University? Someone I know did that successfully after being bullied at their first placement, and went on to complete their PGCE after the Uni accepted responsibility for the bullying.

ImperialBlether · 15/11/2015 11:14

Who was bullying you?

LIZS · 15/11/2015 11:14

Do you mean in the college or on placement? Did you raise a formal complaint?

BrendaandEddie · 15/11/2015 11:18

You were stupid to leave your placement.

ilovesooty · 15/11/2015 18:55

I agree. Placements don't last for ever and you don't give any indication that you tried to resolve the issue.

Jhm9rhs · 16/11/2015 08:49

I think you need to speak to your college.

Have you tried posting on the TES forums? They might be able to help you

BaronessSamedi · 16/11/2015 17:57

who was bullying you?
was it other teachers? the head?

i presume you were doing block placements so you would have been there for a few weeks only.
or were you supposed to be there for a full year?

are you at college too? do you have a college tutor? can you speak to him/her?

sorry for all the questions, but hopefully someone can give you some support to complete your training.
