We moved house (and country!) 2 months ago. Next month is DD1s 4th birthday and she would like a party. She hasn't really made friends at pre-school yet but between her and her teacher we have come up with a list of 8 children to invite, but among those are a group of 3 children who play together regularly (teacher suggested them, they apparently play with DD sometimes) and DD says she doesn't want to invite one of them - and this child's mother is one of the few I've chatted regularly to in the playground. What to do? Do I go with DD or invite the child anyway? - DD really doesn't know any of these children very well.
