I wonder if like me you have seen a huge increase in smartphones popping up around the house during family meals, quiet times, during homework and even evening movies together? What used to be a wonderful time when families could interact and converse with each other has become a battleground over which we are forced to compete against the latest game or social network notification.
Mothers, Fathers and Children communicate with each other at the dinner table whilst peering over the top of their smartphone or tablet, ignoring (I hope) the repeated requests to put them down and enjoy your dinner.
It saddens me immensely that this has become such a theme in our lives, which is why I decided to come up with something to fight back against this disease.
This is why I came up with the Family Unit. It's a small device that securely locks away and charges your smartphones. It's primary function is to enable all of your smartphones to be neatly tucked away during family meal times allowing everybody at the dinner table to re-discover the lost art of conversation and engage with each other just like we all used to.
Not only does it combat the problem of smartphones intruding on your precious family time, but you will also never again have the problem of trying to find 'that lost cable' or the blame game of who had it last, or took it to work!
