I've been approached by a contingent of mothers who assert that my son is bullying their children?

My DH and I,as soon as we became parents were eager to instil in our child the virtues of academic achievement and consequently he is regarded as a star pupil, gets faultless grades and when it comes to University, he will be able to go to wherever he chooses.

However yesterday a squad of 5 mothers, all with sons in the same year as my own, came to my front door, all claiming -with a shrill hysteria- that my son is far from being a top pupil and is in fact a dreadful bully.

Leaving aside the outrage I felt regarding this rude intrusion their claims were somewhat startling. According to them, my son is a leader of a gang that wields more power than the prefects and teachers combined and because he has so much influence, they cannot approach the headmaster.

Apparently, unless the needs of the lesson dictate otherwise, he forces everyone to at all times speak only in formal Latin and has instituted a twice daily ritual that worships a God called Hielophanicun. As this is supposed to be a respectable Christian school, the mothers are not very happy about this. He has forced dozens of boys to get tattoos honouring this God and the mothers feel this may affect their boys career prospects; particularly if they seek employment with some of the more respectable banking establishments. Also the mothers are concerned with the ritual sacrifices this God Hielophanicun demands because the fact these boys are required to go to London to acquire prostitutes could result in a criminal record if they are caught bringing them back to the boarding school. Then a career in politics could be extremely problematic.

I've never been so embarrassed in my life. All the neighbours were watching and some of these mothers were loud and shouting angrily. In my village I am regarded as something as an authority figure- last year I was able to initiate a campaign to get the post man replaced (he seemed a little off to me) and neighbourhood watch meetings are usually held at my house. However after yesterdays incident I feel I may have lost some points and now I have to work to undue the damage these mothers have done to my local reputation.
What would you do?

Should have just told them to go fuck themselves.

In Latin, of course.

CainInThePunting · 06/10/2015 15:12

Oh Dear OP.

Could do better.

LisbethSalandersLaptop · 06/10/2015 15:54

DragonsCanHop · 06/10/2015 15:56

Chatbot? (Or whatever they're called).

BitOfFun · 06/10/2015 16:00

Remember the ketchup troll? That story was better.

PacificDogwod · 06/10/2015 16:01

At least it's not the the poo troll

BitOutOfPractice · 06/10/2015 16:02

"It can't be the Archers I heard a few recent episodes and never heard any of this!"

No you're right Hellochicken, they stopped making sacrifices to Hielophanicun in 1972 and the last episode in Latin went out in 2009, a sad day

Germgirl · 06/10/2015 16:02

Very odd. What am I missing?

Grin I won't pretend to be commenting for any other reason than to receive the deletion message.

GiddyOnZackHunt · 06/10/2015 16:13

Moln it's a Tit Squad Grin

Anyway back to the bollocks op. What a funny village to have 6 boys all at the same boarding school. Unless of course you live in Muchly Madeup in the Cotswolds

SconeForAStroll · 06/10/2015 16:13

why are these threads never as funny as they ought to be?

Helenluvsrob · 06/10/2015 16:16

From yahoo answers a few days ago:

answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20150916031347AAAcFOu

Not that I can smell troll poo or anything

HaloEveSteve · 06/10/2015 16:16

That was a rubbish story. I couldn't even finish reading it. Very disappointing.

RainbowCake · 06/10/2015 16:19

Argh I know this means something somewhere or is from something but I just don't get it.
really not posting for deletion message

Muckogy · 06/10/2015 16:22

go home OP, you're drunk. or on acid.

InimitableJeeves · 06/10/2015 16:26

There's yet another thread about this on Yahoo from August. It's, um, quite a coincidence that this delegation of mothers got worked up about OP's bullying in the middle of the school holidays and decided to schlep round to OP's then, and now they've done exactly the same thing again a few days ago and yesterday. You'd think that OP wouldn't have found it quite so startling second or third time round, and indeed that she'd learn not to answer her door to them. You might also think that the mothers would have gone to the school by now instead of wearing a trail to OP's door. However, I do of course believe OP implicitly Grin

lunar1 · 06/10/2015 16:29

Sharon...is that you?

PacificDogwod · 06/10/2015 16:31
Heathcliff27 · 06/10/2015 16:36

So am I the only one who had a good old chuckle at this Grin. Thanks OP, brightened up an otherwise dull afternoon.

Moln · 06/10/2015 16:42

Tit squad you say Giddy?

However in this eminent situation of grandiloquent and perspicacity (especially one so recherché so where six boys from the very same village attend the very same boarding school) I feel it is imperative that we use the Latin - a pectus manipulus of mothers.
