I've been approached by a contingent of mothers who assert that my son is bullying their children?

My DH and I,as soon as we became parents were eager to instil in our child the virtues of academic achievement and consequently he is regarded as a star pupil, gets faultless grades and when it comes to University, he will be able to go to wherever he chooses.

However yesterday a squad of 5 mothers, all with sons in the same year as my own, came to my front door, all claiming -with a shrill hysteria- that my son is far from being a top pupil and is in fact a dreadful bully.

Leaving aside the outrage I felt regarding this rude intrusion their claims were somewhat startling. According to them, my son is a leader of a gang that wields more power than the prefects and teachers combined and because he has so much influence, they cannot approach the headmaster.

Apparently, unless the needs of the lesson dictate otherwise, he forces everyone to at all times speak only in formal Latin and has instituted a twice daily ritual that worships a God called Hielophanicun. As this is supposed to be a respectable Christian school, the mothers are not very happy about this. He has forced dozens of boys to get tattoos honouring this God and the mothers feel this may affect their boys career prospects; particularly if they seek employment with some of the more respectable banking establishments. Also the mothers are concerned with the ritual sacrifices this God Hielophanicun demands because the fact these boys are required to go to London to acquire prostitutes could result in a criminal record if they are caught bringing them back to the boarding school. Then a career in politics could be extremely problematic.

I've never been so embarrassed in my life. All the neighbours were watching and some of these mothers were loud and shouting angrily. In my village I am regarded as something as an authority figure- last year I was able to initiate a campaign to get the post man replaced (he seemed a little off to me) and neighbourhood watch meetings are usually held at my house. However after yesterdays incident I feel I may have lost some points and now I have to work to undue the damage these mothers have done to my local reputation.
What would you do?

Haha Grin.

They're obviously all wrong.

Owllady · 06/10/2015 14:15

I think this is real. This really would happen in my village

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 06/10/2015 14:16

And if this turns out to be The Archers or any other such bollocks I may well flounce not that anyone would notice .

NorksAreMessy · 06/10/2015 14:18

Ummmm, what?

Moln · 06/10/2015 14:18

Is the collective term for mothers a squad?

LilacSpunkMonkey · 06/10/2015 14:19

Can I ask which school this is?

I need to enrol my boys immediately. There is next to no devil worship at their current school, despite me insisting on it being introduced into the curriculum.

Also, my postman is simply dreadful. How does one go about getting him replaced?

Or...do behave yourself.

OurBlanche · 06/10/2015 14:21

Oi! Us 'Nam Wives would have death with the problem, there and then! No hysteria. And it ain't no village.

Got it?

Tirfarthoin · 06/10/2015 14:27

The school is obviously not expensive or exclusive enough if it is allowing the children of such hysterical harradins attend.
Take your son out immediately and home ed

LurcioAgain · 06/10/2015 14:27

Preferred your thread on the fundamentalist religious community just south of the Scottish Borders OP. I mean, it was a shit thread but this one is even more shit. Can I award negative points?

Moln · 06/10/2015 14:28

I note you used contingent in the OP title and not squad. This is very confusing

Contingent or squad? Which is it? Is it like a pack of wolves, something's they can be a rout?

BitOutOfPractice · 06/10/2015 14:29

Sounds like some story / bit of ancient history / some other bollocks that the OP has wittily rewitten in modern form from the viewpoint of a manir character.

But Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead it aint Confused

BitOutOfPractice · 06/10/2015 14:29

manir? Minor!

bolleauxnouveau · 06/10/2015 14:39

You have neighbours?
How infra dig.

Trooperslane · 06/10/2015 14:42

Where are they all coming from?!

BramblePie · 06/10/2015 14:43

How sad the OP has time to waste their life like this!
Go outside!

Hellochicken · 06/10/2015 14:44

Is this a literary reference I'm missing?
If so tell me the book, I like light reading!
It can't be the Archers I heard a few recent episodes and never heard any of this!

IgnoreMeEveryOtherReindeerDoes · 06/10/2015 14:44

I didn't even make it to the end of the story

BlackeyedPetitsPois · 06/10/2015 14:46

It's like a cross between Hogwarts and the Wicker Man!

IvyWall · 06/10/2015 14:48

bolleauxnouveau · 06/10/2015 14:51
