Today, I'm talking stigma - the stigma that young parents face. As a young parent myself, I don't like it - but can we justify it, by saying that it's important to prevent teenage pregnancy? Does it actually work to prevent teen pregnancy at all? And, in doing so, aren't we just writing off a generation of young parents as collateral damage, putting them at risk of low self esteem and postnatal depression by stigmatising against them?
