Swearing!

Hey,
I'm doing an English project on swearing and other taboo language. I would love to hear some of your opinions on swearing? Whether it is acceptable to swear, only in certain circumstances. What age is it acceptable to swear and is there certain swear words that should never be said?

What do you class as "other taboo language?"

Yes it is acceptable to swear around other adults but people should respect others and not be loudly swearing in a public place if they know people around them might be offended. If you know somebody is offended by swearing then it would be common decency to not swear in front of them. Swearing at work is generally not going to be ok (though there may be exceptions to this I suppose depending on the type of job you do).

Age? Meh. Don't care. They're just words.

No swear word should be "banned."

Depends on your cultural circle/upbringing. The way I was brought up - no swearing, at least for females and males in the presence of females.
