I don't like my newsfeed

It's suddenly became lots of "What X likes" and output from the few corporate type pages I like (charity or political party or activist) and not enough my friends status updates (which is what I most want to see).

But I fail at 2nd hurdle, I don't see any option to "Prioritise who to see first". Am I stuck with a newsfeed I don't like? What am I doing wrong?

Have you got a pop-up blocker? That might stop it working.

Maybe it's because i'm on Safari (hmmm).

I am fed up with it too.

I'm also fed up with using FB on my mobile. It won't show most recent first, whatever I do so I see the same old stuff over and over again and usually from days ago. I completely miss most stuff people are doing.

Facebook is a pain in the arse for only showing you what it thinks you'll like to see, rather than what you actually WANT to see! It's getting worse lately.
I've put the things I'm not so bothered about seeing on "unfollow" so I don't get them in my newsfeed any more. Close friends, family and people who post interesting updates I press "get notifications" when they post and that way I'm made aware.
Tailor your newsfeed and filter out the crap. That's what I do.
