Some people scoff at the idea of depression, mainly because they don’t understand it.
I have suffered for years with this truly debilitating disease.
I have a wonderful husband, a beautiful little boy, but when the dark cloud descends, it seems that non of that matters.
Feeling utterly worthless, doubting your own abilities and trying to justify your place on this earth are just some of the emotions you can go through.
The important thing is to seek help, whether through a support network, talking openly to loved ones (although this can be hard at first) or if it is something that you have been through before, you will know what your trigger points are, and can act fast.
You don’t need to be alone, and your life is a precious thing.
