60th Wedding Anniversary

Hi, my parents are (miraculously) celebrating their diamond wedding anniversary in June.

They do not have a 'lovey dovey' relationship, do not want a big party and my father has COPD so he is limited in his activities. Obviously myself and my 4 siblings cannot let the event go without acknowledgement but it is very difficult thinking of what to do!!

The latest idea, as a surprise, is to take them to lunch or dinner at the venue of their wedding reception (via a drive by the church where they got married).

Does sound like a reasonable plan and does anyone have any suggestions how we could make it really special?

You can get a letter from the Queen for a 60th Wedding Anniversary.

www.royal.gov.uk/hmthequeen/queenandanniversarymessages/anniversarymessages.aspx

If you know where they got married you can apply for it without them knowing too.
