I work in a care home at night and before we start we have a handover meeting. Anyway the team leader started talking about another member of staff who was in the night before saying that she had came to him and said she's a few weeks pregnant. Then proceeded to joke about how she probably won't be able to lift a cup of tea from now on.

I don't know if I'm wrong but he really shouldn't have been telling people this should he? I know her from my children's school not very well but part of me feels like I should say something but I'm not sure. What would you do?

Depends. I would probably assume that it's not a secret (unless he said so) and go and say to her something along the lines of "X was telling us all in the handover meeting that you're pregnant, congratulations!!" Then if it was supposed to be a secret you'll be able to tell from her reaction, if it's not, you congratulated her. In either case, unless the team leader said anything that implied he shouldn't be telling you all or it was a secret, you can't get into trouble for congratulating her.
