Wedding gift of cash

Hi there
Got a wedding coming up where the couple has asked for cash. Stumped as I have no idea how much is the norm. Can anyone help ? It's a old friends wedding who I see no more than 2/3 times a year if that's helpful xxx
Any input gratefully reviewed

Lots of variables. How much disposable cash you have is obviously relevant. How much would you have spent on a present? Put that in.

anywhere from £20-£50 probably

I usually give £50 for a daytime invite and £25 for an evening only invite. If I know where they are going on honeymoon I change it to the local currency if I can.
